MOJITOP.COM is just a group of friends rooted in Barcelona, who would like to contribute to improve the level of the mojitos in the city.
We like to do expeditions in the city, and sometimes we invite the blog followers.
If you have suggestions, you are more than welcome to share them with us too!
We like to "conquer" Bars, which means to visit them and evaluate their mojitos.
About barris, we often visit Gràcia, Poble Sec, Raval and Born, but we've also been to more exotic places like Eixample and Barceloneta.
To explore all the possibilities, we also try out different recipes for mojitos and their variations.
Also from time to time we'll report on curisities related to mojitos, like the mojitos we taste in other cities.
Interviews and stories about interesting people are in this blog.

Christmas Mojitos

As we enter into December, it's time for some Christmas atmosphere. The lights mounted across Barcelona are ready to be lit, and the countdown towards the holidays has begun. Perhaps an ice-cold refreshing mojito is not what creates the most Xmas spirit. A few people on the web, however, present their solutions for a more holiday- centered mojito.

Armand Famiglietti presents The Classic Christmas Mojito that adds rum-soaked cranberries, together with orange and cranberry juice to the standard mojito mix. Sounds delicious!

Jenn at Cafe Gonelly adds the Christmas touch with pomegranate. However, it might be hard to find pomegranate 7UP here in Barcelona. Has anyone tasted it?

Let's see if our favourite bars in Barcelona add Christmas Mojito to their drink list this December. If you know where to get one, please let us know.

  1. We did an improvised version of the Christmas mojito for a party at home the other night: muddle of mint and pieces of orange which we left soaking in a mixture of rum and concentrated cranberry juice. We filled up the glasses half way (including mint and orange pieces of course), added one or two whole ice-cubes (this time of year, you don't need the frozen experience) and topped up with gaseosa. Delicious!
