MOJITOP.COM is just a group of friends rooted in Barcelona, who would like to contribute to improve the level of the mojitos in the city.
We like to do expeditions in the city, and sometimes we invite the blog followers.
If you have suggestions, you are more than welcome to share them with us too!
We like to "conquer" Bars, which means to visit them and evaluate their mojitos.
About barris, we often visit Gràcia, Poble Sec, Raval and Born, but we've also been to more exotic places like Eixample and Barceloneta.
To explore all the possibilities, we also try out different recipes for mojitos and their variations.
Also from time to time we'll report on curisities related to mojitos, like the mojitos we taste in other cities.
Interviews and stories about interesting people are in this blog.

Mojito night at Wagaboo - free mojitos with your dinner

As soon as we saw that Wagaboo has mojito night every Thursday, we decided to try it out. The concept is easy: you have your dinner at Wagaboo and the waiters keep bringing as many mojitos you want throughout the evening. Also without mojitos, we find Wagaboo a quite good place to meet for dinner at a reasonable price (23 euro for a group menu with 3 courses). So we reserved a table and met up for an early start of the weekend.

For the evening Wagaboo plays Cuban music, and the waiters wear green make-up around the eyes. It gets a bit kitsch, but hey - it's mojito night. We had barely sat down when we the first mojitos arrived to the table. They were perfectly drinkable; sweet with a limey twist. We give an extra star for their 'virgin mojitos' for our driving friend to enjoy the night as well. The waiters kept on bringing more mojitos as long as we wanted. They were not very strong, so we could enjoy the evening until the last spoon of dessert without adverse effects.

Grade: 6.91. A decent mojito for being 'free' and mass-made. Perhaps a bit sweet, but still ok for having with dinner. Unfortunately we didn't manage to capture their recipe. As for the virgin mojito, our driving friend gave it an 8, which is good news for all who need a light evening.
