MOJITOP.COM is just a group of friends rooted in Barcelona, who would like to contribute to improve the level of the mojitos in the city.
We like to do expeditions in the city, and sometimes we invite the blog followers.
If you have suggestions, you are more than welcome to share them with us too!
We like to "conquer" Bars, which means to visit them and evaluate their mojitos.
About barris, we often visit Gràcia, Poble Sec, Raval and Born, but we've also been to more exotic places like Eixample and Barceloneta.
To explore all the possibilities, we also try out different recipes for mojitos and their variations.
Also from time to time we'll report on curisities related to mojitos, like the mojitos we taste in other cities.
Interviews and stories about interesting people are in this blog.

Mojitos in Beijing - Aroma: Another mojito @ Houhai - The more, the better!

Price : 20yuan (during happy hour: 16-20h)

Location: Another terrace along HouHai :)

The mojitop expedition in Beijing, chose the bar "Aroma" to take its third and last Chinese Mojito. The result was excellent, the best mojito we had in china. We had it quite early in the afternoon (around 18h) but hey - we just had to ride a bike along the small hutongs and an authentic and very crowded marketplace afterwards ;)).

The mojito had mint, lemon instead of lime as usual, sugar, rum...and it was quite well balanced. A happy mojito :)

And about the setting - very nice terrace facing the lake, comfortable chairs, good temperature. The only but were the many chinese with huge reflex cameras who spotted us and probably recognised us as mojitop members and started taking pictures of us. We knew this would happen someday with our fan-base growing steadily, but it was really a bit too much. And they dindn't even invite us to the mojitos (hint for the rest of fans who want to take pictures of us: PAY FOR OUR DRINKS!).

Anyway...from our spot we also got to see around 70 chinese women all dressed up with dresses that had an extremely long cut on the side - we didn't find out what the occasion was. But it was worth seeing - all the carriages and all the women.

So this wraps our Chinese-Mojito expedition. We hope to be able to report soon from somewhere else in the world :)
